Updated 22 April 22, 2024 This policy is subject to revision without notice at the discretion of the organizing commitee
AfCEM 2024 has tiered registration pricing giving deep discounts to delegates from middle- and low-income countries and to allied health professions and students. This pricing structure is designed to make the conference as equitable as possible and accessible to people from many backgrounds.
LMIC pricing:
You qualify for low-income country (LIC) or middle-income country (MIC) pricing if you live and work in a LIC or MIC. Being born in or being a citizen of a LIC or MIC does not qualify you for the discount. MIC includes both lower-middle income and upper-middle income countries. You may be asked to provide proof of employment or residency when choosing a LIC or MIC discount.
Anyone who has registered with this discount but fails to meet the criteria, as determined at the sole discretion of the local organizing committee (LOC), may have their registration revoked.
Students and allied health professions pricing:
Delegates who are actively employed as nurses, paramedics and other allied health professionals and those who are students currently enrolled in a full-time degree program or residency program are eligible for a discount. Doctors who were previously allied health professionals are not eligible. Part-time students are not eligible. You may be asked to provide proof of employment or a valid student ID when choosing this discount.
Anyone who has registered with this discount but fails to meet the criteria, as determined at the sole discretion of the local organizing committee (LOC), may have their registration revoked.
Emergency medicine society group discount
We offer an additional 15% discount to groups of at least 5 delegates who register together and represent an emergency medicine society in Africa. For such groups you may request an invoice by emailing registration@afcem24.org. Members of the group must still pay according to their country of employment. (i.e. a group that includes 2 people employed in an LIC and 3 employed in an HIC would be charged for 2 LIC registrations and 3 HIC registrations, minus 10%).
Groups will be given an additional 4% discount if they pay by wire transfer (instead of credit card) and accept all fees associated with the wire.
Full conference registration closes on 1st October 2024, but you can still attend everything by buying three one-day registrations
Please stay tuned for additional activities and events to be announced soon!
